Dazzly is a lively makeup brand designed exclusively for teens eager to showcase their individuality while nurturing their skin early on.
About
Launching into the cosmetics sphere with a mission tailored for the vibrant, ever-changing teenage landscape, Dazzly distinguishes itself not merely through high-caliber cosmetic offerings but by fostering a culture of fun and self-expression via unique sticker packs. These stickers empower young consumers to transform their cosmetic packaging into personalized art pieces, aligning perfectly with Dazzly's lively product design that includes playful doodles, striking color contrasts, and whimsical, handwritten typography to capture the essence of youth.
Challenge
Although Dazzly's innovative approach resonated well with teenagers, the brand struggled to establish a unified visual identity that could accurately convey its foundational principles of enjoyment, creativity, and individual expression. The existing brand imagery failed to capture the necessary vibrancy and distinctiveness to make a mark in the competitive cosmetics field, necessitating a visual language that encapsulated teenage creativity and positioned its offerings as indispensable to its target market.

Sketchy Digital was tasked with revitalizing Dazzly's visual identity to align with its groundbreaking brand proposition. This process started with an immersive exploration into teenage culture to grasp their likes, dreams, and modes of self-expression. The aim was to develop a visual identity that transcended mere aesthetics to foster a tangible, interactive brand experience for Dazzly’s audience.

Mood blending
The makeup brand's name vividly mirrors the vibrant and spirited teenage audience it aims to reach — individuals who infuse the world with positivity, much like the sun. This is captured in the logo's blend of strict and handwritten fonts, symbolizing the dual nature of adolescence. Teenagers are characterized by their youthful exuberance and limitless energy, yet they possess a mature intellect and a conscientious approach to self-care and environmental stewardship.

Typography
Opposites attract
Montserrat is a celebrated font that has become a favorite across diverse design circles for its distinctive and pronounced character. Its slightly elongated letterforms project confidence, stability, and clarity, establishing it as a dependable option for a wide range of projects. Conversely, the handwritten accompaniment occupies the other end of the style spectrum, infusing designs with playfulness, delight, and a hint of mischief, perfectly encapsulating the vibrant spirit of youth.

Color extravaganza
Adolescence is frequently linked to vivid colors, reflecting its dynamic essence. To capture this, we've selected three colors that each symbolize various facets of youth. Green illustrates growth and the flourishing of new beginnings, yellow captures the sun's nurturing warmth, and pink represents the rosy blush of youthful cheeks.

Transparent style
The choice of transparent packaging with a matte finish aligns with contemporary trends and visual appeal. This minimalist approach to the original packaging design enables users to customize their cosmetic jars with stickers, maintaining functionality without sacrificing style.
Merging translucent textures with vibrant colors creates an engaging and dynamic display of the products. This approach is ideal for assembling cosmetic gift sets that promise an attractive look both on retail shelves and in digital presence.
