DarkInk, despite its success, faced a significant challenge of remaining relevant and appealing in an ever-changing cultural and aesthetic landscape. The tattoo industry is marked by rapid changes in trends, styles, and customer preferences, and DarkInk's brand identity, while once cutting-edge, began to feel outdated amidst the shifting dynamics of the industry. To resonate with newer generations who value diversity, inclusivity, and creativity, DarkInk needed to revamp its brand identity with a compelling, contemporary look and feel. The competitive tattoo industry required DarkInk to distinguish itself not just through the quality of its art but also through its modern and forward-thinking brand identity.

Our team at Sketchy Digital took on the task of revitalizing DarkInk to make it more relevant to a modern audience. We conducted extensive research on current industry trends and audience preferences, which helped us create a refreshed visual identity for the brand. The new visual identity features a modern and edgy logo, as well as a sophisticated color palette that resonates well with today's tattoo enthusiasts.

New art form
The revamped logo exudes confidence and tranquility. The fusion of the letters D and I, with accent details, bestows a stylish and distinctive appearance. Its minimalistic design resembles an exceptional hieroglyph, which could be seen as a new art form, like a fresh language spoken by DarkInk.

Just my type
The choice of Chillax font has played a crucial role in DarkInk's rebranding. Its modern and versatile typeface features align perfectly with the brand's vision to project a contemporary, edgy, approachable image. Chillax has enhanced the brand's appeal and helped shape its new visual identity.
